Education and Expertise: Dr. King received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Washington State University in 1994. His background extends beyond veterinary medicine, encompassing human nursing, wildlife biology, and disease research. His dedication to lifelong learning ensures that he stays at the forefront of advancements in animal care.  Dr. King’s passion for patient well-being drives him to exceed expectations. His proficiency in performing ultrasound examinations on companion animals reflects his commitment to precision and compassion.

Beyond the Clinic: When not caring for four-legged patients, Dr. King spreads his wings—literally! He’s an avid falconer, practicing the ancient Art and Sport of Falconry. Additionally, he’s a licensed pilot, navigating the skies in his own airplane. At home, he shares life’s adventures with his partner, Bonnie Marsh, a registered nurse, and their two adult children. Their household includes Jackie, the spirited English Pointer, and Karma, the mischievous long-haired feline.

🔒 Referral Program Agreement & Terms

💼 Referral Rewards:

Full-Time Hire
💰 $12,000 total
  • $4,000 after 30 days / $4,000 after 60 days / $4,000 after 90 days

Part-Time Hire
💰 $6,000 total
  • $2,000 after 30 days / $2,000 after 60 days / $2,000 after 90 days

📝 Key Rules:
  • Referred candidate must not be currently employed, contracted, or providing relief services at any Happy Paws location.
  • You must not be involved in the hiring process for the candidate you’re referring.
  • All referrals must be submitted via this form.
  • There’s no limit to how many people you can refer!

📬 How Payout Works:
If your referral is hired, we’ll contact you after their start date to collect your W-9 and direct deposit info through a secure link. You don’t need to upload anything now.
 

By submitting this referral form, you certify that:

  • You are a U.S. resident, age 18 or older, legally eligible to receive income.
  • You are not part of the Happy Paws HQ Leadership Team.
  • You are not involved in the hiring, interviewing, or contractual decision-making for the candidate you are referring.
  • The candidate:
    • Is not currently employed, contracted, or providing relief services at any Happy Paws hospital.
    • Is being referred for a part-time or full-time veterinarian position.
You agree and understand:
  • Referral submissions must be made through this website form to qualify.
  • If the referred candidate is hired and remains employed for 90 days, you are eligible to receive:
    • $12,000 total for full-time hires (3 x $4,000 installments)
    • $6,000 total for part-time hires (3 x $2,000 installments)
  • Installment payments begin 30 days after the candidate’s start date and will stop if the candidate resigns or is terminated before completing 90 days.
  • You will be contacted post-hire to provide your W-9 and direct deposit details via a secure portal.
  • Payments will be reported as 1099-NEC taxable income if they meet IRS thresholds.

This program is governed by the laws of Texas, and all disputes will be resolved in Collin County, Texas. Participation does not imply employment or a business relationship with Happy Paws.
