Veterinary Technician – Strickland Veterinary Clinic – Tucson, AZ!

Strickland Veterinary Clinic is actively seeking both Part-Time and Full-Time Associate Veterinarians who share our commitment to teamwork, quality medicine, and pet parent education. Here’s what we’re looking for:

About Our Team:

Dr. Mary Strickland, the founder of Strickland Veterinary Clinic, established our practice in 1991. As she approaches retirement, she aims to transition her loyal pet parents to our new associate veterinarians. We eagerly welcome additional veterinarians to join our dedicated team. Each one is encouraged to explore their unique interests and contribute to our compassionate care for animals.

At Strickland Animal Clinic, our team comprises Dr. Strickland, two part-time veterinarians, our practice manager, customer service representatives, and several pet nurses and kennel attendants. We work collaboratively and supportively to enhance the effectiveness and success of our practice, benefiting both pet parents and their beloved pets. Our operating hours are from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, and from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays, with no on-call services.

At our well-equipped clinic, we utilize Cornerstone software, digital radiology with radiologists’ interpretation, digital dental radiology, and Idexx in-house lab equipment. Our collaboration with a board-certified surgical specialist ensures that the highest level of care and expertise is readily available to our pet parents and patients. When it comes to scheduling, our priority is on building strong relationships with pet owners, maximizing time together, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for their beloved pets. Tasks that can be delegated to support staff are booked separately from veterinarian visits. Additionally, we are currently transitioning to electronic medical records and will be implementing an AI-assisted charting platform. This AI platform will efficiently complete SOAP notes and other medical record information, allowing you to focus more on delivering high-value veterinary medicine and ensuring you can finish your work on time!

C.A.R.E. Referral Program – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Happy Paws C.A.R.E. Referral Program. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the program. By submitting a referral, you agree to the following:

Program Overview
The C.A.R.E. Referral Program (“Program”) is a referral-based incentive initiative that rewards eligible participants for referring qualified Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVMs) for employment opportunities within Happy Paws Veterinary Partners. Eligible referrals who are hired into a full-time or part-time DVM role and meet employment milestones will trigger a financial reward to the referrer, paid out in structured installments.
How the Referral Reward Works
Hire Type Installment Schedule Installment Amount Total Reward
Full-Time 30, 60, and 90 days of continued employment $4,000 per installment $12,000
Part-Time 30, 60, and 90 days of continued employment $2,000 per installment $6,000
Installments are paid only upon the successful completion of each employment milestone. If the referred candidate resigns or is terminated before a milestone is reached, all unpaid future installments are forfeited.
Payment & Tax Information
Referrers will be contacted post-hire to securely submit a W-9 form and direct deposit information. All referral payments are processed as 1099-NEC income and are considered taxable. Happy Paws does not withhold taxes on your behalf. Payments will be issued within 10 business days of each qualifying employment milestone being met and verified.
Eligibility Criteria
You may participate in the Program if: You are a U.S. resident, 18 years or older, and legally eligible to receive income. You are not an employee of Happy Paws HQ Leadership, HR, or involved in candidate hiring, selection, or decision-making. You are not referring yourself, a current Happy Paws employee, contractor, or relief DVM. You are not referring someone already in our recruitment pipeline (including anyone who has applied, interviewed, or been in contact with Happy Paws within the past 6 months).The referral is submitted through the official web form at the time of referral. Referrals made via email, phone, or social media do not qualify. Only the first person to submit a qualifying referral via the official form will be eligible for the reward. Duplicate submissions will be reviewed, and payment will be made to the first eligible referrer recorded.
Disqualification & Forfeiture
Referrals will be deemed ineligible or forfeited if: The referred DVM does not start employment. The DVM is terminated or voluntarily resigns before meeting a milestone. The referral was submitted outside of official channels or lacks sufficient documentation. Fraudulent or dishonest behavior is detected. Happy Paws reserves the right to deny payment, request repayment, or pursue legal remedies in cases of misuse, misrepresentation, or abuse of the Program.
Program Modifications & Termination
Happy Paws Veterinary Partners reserves the right to: Modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. End the referral program at any time. Determine final eligibility, interpretation, and payment decisions in its sole discretion. All changes will be effective upon posting on the Happy Paws website. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any updates.
Legal & Jurisdiction
This Program is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal action or proceeding relating to the Program shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Collin County, Texas. Participation in the C.A.R.E. Referral Program does not establish any employment, agency, or business relationship between the referrer and Happy Paws.
